WBA Preview: Four Games to Oblivion?!?!

Chelsea travel to The Hawthorns today in the first of four games that could make or break their season and make or break AvBs Chelsea career. Three of the four games are against Midland rivals (today, on Tuesday against Brum and next Saturday, Stoke City) before the Corrupt Cup showdown with Napoli.
It has been another week of Chelsea headlines.
Mr Stubborn, Mr Cocksure revealed he isn’t confident that he has the backing of Mr A and the board, a massive climbdown from his proclamations of safety prior to the 3-0 win over Bolton last weekend.
David Luiz was ‘mis-quoted,’ ‘mis-interpreted’ telling Super Frank to ‘stop acting like a spoilt brat’ and get on with it… Ouch!!
Danny Sturridge limped off in England’s defeat to Holland with what looked like a nasty injury, but AvB reported yesterday that Sturridge is fit and available for selection, as is Didier Drogba following the self-inflicted bruise he picked up last Saturday.
Following Ivanovic’s ‘let’s get on with it’ outburst last weekend, Danny Sturridge has joined the chorus, despite his unhappiness of not being Chelsea’s No.9 in a number 23 shirt.
He said, “It’s time for everyone to knuckle down, do their jobs and focus on winning games for Chelsea.
“Everyone talks – but what we say off the field is pointless because it’s not going to change anything.
“You have to push yourself regardless of which manager you are playing for. You can never get complacent and think you’re the best and should always be playing.
“At Chelsea, we’ve got to get some silverware this season and make sure we finish in the top four.
“Villas-Boas has helped me a lot. He’s been playing me for most of the season. I’ve never had a manager who has done that before apart from my loan spell at Bolton (thank you Owen Coyle…. Ed), so I owe him a lot.
“To play at one of the best clubs in the world and start every week is a dream come true for me. I love playing for Chelsea.
“I’ve seen some stuff about me asking for a new contract but that’s just not true.
“I’ve not spoken to the club about a new deal or told them I am unhappy. I am totally committed to Chelsea and to getting the job done.”
