WBA 1-0 Chelsea: Pull the Brats Back into Line

In the worse case scenario, Chelsea have THIRTEEN games to play before their dismal and disappointing 2011/12 season comes to an end. Breaking it down, there are ELEVEN League games , potentially ONE FA Cup and potentially ONE ‘Corrupt Cup’ game to go. If,If and I MEAN if Mr A and the board decide to pull the trigger on AvB and bring in Fat Face Benitez, Fernando Torres will welcome him with open arms.
All Chelsea fans know Torres was a club signing.
No manager signed Fernando Torres.
Mr A flashed his cash and Torres came running, but his Chelsea journey has been a complete nightmare simply because firstly Ancelotti didn’t and now AvB, hasn’t played Torres to his strengths.
The same situation happened when Mr A signed Shevchenko.
Mourinho didn’t want him and played Shevchenko accordingly and sparingly.
Fat face will potentially get the best out of Torres, there is no doubt about that and for me, I will just about swallow his appointment, albeit in a caretaker role, should AvB get booted out the door.
Time and time again I have said that AvB is completely out of his depth.
Mr A and the board, in getting rid of Ancelotti, have seen their rookie gamble spectacularly mis-fire and they really should shoulder most of the blame if not all of it, for Chelsea’s demise as a footballing force and their resurging rise as a high street joke-shop.
Again the board have let player power dictate how the team perform on the pitch.
It takes a lot of strength to accept that a bunch of overpaid, spoilt multi-millionaire prima-donnas are being allowed to run the club with their fracturing in-fighting and blatant bully-boy tactics and not for the first time.
Every decent hardworking football fan knows that when they go to work, they are under contract to perform their duties to the best of their abilities and if they don’t , their contract is ripped up and they are shown the door?
Why can’t the same rules apply to footballers? After all, playing football is a JOB!!
If managers can get fired for not doing their jobs properly then why can’t the same rules apply to footballers? Just saying.
After yesterday’s debacle I say get rid of the lot, with the exception of Petr Cech, who single-handedly kept the score below five.
As for Danny Sturridge, who wants to be Chelsea’s No.9 in the 23 shirt, he had a complete nightmare by spurning two gilt-edged chances – the first, when put clear after a brilliant Drogba ball, dragging his shot wide of the post when one on one with Foster - the second opportunity from a Mata through ball, Sturridge dummied himself when trying to sell a dummy to Foster!
There is no doubt this season has become a shambles and I would rather Mr A and the board put the gun down, ride out the rest of the season, pull the spoilt brats back into line and then do the firing and hiring during the Summer.
