5pur5 1-5 Chelsea: Only at Wembley
COME ON CHELSEA

I really do not know how referee Martin Atkinson be 100% confident that Juan Mata’s touch had crossed the line minutes into the 2nd half at the Chelsea End of Wembley Stadium at just after 7pm last night. There were simply too many bodies lying across 5purs5’s goal-line for him to be actually sure.
I looked across at the Assistant and he didn’t give the goal. Mata, already on his way wheeling around in celebration, was the closest and had the better angle, whereas Atkinson was further back as he pointed to the centre-circle to confirm Chelsea’s 2-0 lead.
Even ‘One England Captain’ JT, one of the bodies on the line said categorically after the game, ‘The ball never crossed the line’ and then he threw his weight behind the campaign for goal-line technology.

That debate is left for another day and to be honest ‘a goal or not a goal’ I really don’t care.
The luck and fortune that is going Chelsea’s way in recent weeks is deserving for all the crap decisions that the club have had to endure in recent seasons.
Chelsea firmly laid their 5pur5 Wembley bogey to rest with four second-half goals after Didier stunned Gallas and the Cockerel hordes with a brilliant turn and shot, minutes from half-time, leaving Cudicini grasping in the air at his near post.
Chelsea’s fortune continued as Atkinson played the advantage to allow 5pur5 to pull one back from Bale after Cech appeared to upend Adebayor, although replays suggested to me, that Adebayor took a bit of a dive.
It was hearts in the mouths time until Ramires broke free to chip Cudicini to make it 3-1, then Super Frank hit a stunning free-kick to score Chelsea’s fourth before Malouda claimed Chelsea’s 5th deep into five minutes of stoppage time.
If you want proof that Malouda has no care for Fernando Torres, just watch his cross again and again and see how much the ball was in front of Torres leaving the Spaniard absolutely NO chance to claim a Wembley goal and Chelsea’s 6th!

but the other 4 definitely were!
In any case, even if we are fortunate enough to play well against Barcelona, the ref will help them out if they need it.
