Nordsjaelland Prev:Eyes on the Pitch, Eyes on the Big Screen
COME ON CHELSEA

We’ve got no history? Well, we could make history tonight by being the first holders to go out at the group stage. Pessimistic? Yes, of course. It’s difficult to be anything but when you look at what’s been going on at our club during the past few weeks.
It could turn out to be a tense and even epic night at the Bridge tonight though. the Shakhtar v Juventus latest score will be flashed up on the big screen throughout the match – should Shakhtar be in front and we be a few goals up against the Danes tonight the tension and excitement will build. (I can see it now though…we’ll be winning, Shakhtar will be winning….and then in the last few minutes Juventus will equalise!).
I still might have a little flutter on us going through though…

Back to domestic matters though: A few years ago we were described as a circus by many rival fans – I stoutly defended many of the decisions being made at the club during this period, however, after witnessing all that has gone on recently there really isn’t too much I can say – nor do I even have the desire to put up a fight.
We ARE a circus at the moment. Abramovich would no doubt say his philosophy is to cut the head off before the rot sets in too deeply, I (and many others no doubt) would say that you can’t react in such a drastic fashion because of a bad run of results.
To do what he did to Roberto Di Matteo and THEN appoint Benitez is inexcusable and has left the vast majority of us numb, astonished and disillusioned.
Does Rafa know what he is doing? We shall see during the next few weeks.
I really can’t and won’t get used to seeing him there on the bench, but of course, I want us to play well, I want us to win and I want us to achieve some form of success this season – so yes – that does mean that Benitez has to do well – whether we like it or not.
Grin and bear it until the summer it is then.
In other cheery news, Terry, Lampard and Sturridge are all still out, although Luiz is back.
Apart from that…
COME ON CHELS!
