The Empire Strikes Back AGAIN!!

Only forty-eight hours after being charged by UEFA for the 'lying and poisonous statement' concerning Frisk's alleged meeting with Rijkaard in his dressing room,........

........ and twenty-four hours before Chelsea hear UEFA verdicts on their failure for attending the post match press conference and their lateness on the pitch for the second half of the first leg in the Nou Camp, Chelsea and Jose Mourinho have been charged by the Premier League along with (surprisingly I have to admit) Arsenal's Ashley Cole for the 'Colegate' tap-up and the 'alleged' meeting which took place on January 27th 2005.

Jose Mourinho has been charged under rule Q which covers Managers Code of Conduct.

Ashley Cole has been charged under rule K5 which covers arranging a meeting with another club whilst under contract.

Chelsea has been charged under rule K3 which covers approaching other players under contract.

Agents Pini Zavihi (the super agent) and Cole's agent Jonathan Barnett have not been charged because they do not come under the jurisdiction of the Premier League, however a full report of their activitites and involvement has been prepared and sent to the Football Association.

Certainly turning out to be a celebration of 100 years in more ways than one. Charges, Title, Champions League, Carling Cup, Charges, Charges and more Charges.
