Team for Match Against Samsung Bluewings Announced

Chelsea have announced full details of its trophy parade, which will take place on Sunday 22 May at 12:00 noon.

The open-topped bus carrying the players and staff with the Carling Cup and the Premiership Trophy will depart from Stamford Bridge Britannia Gate at midday and travel east along Fulham Road before turning right onto Hortensia Road and then right again onto the New Kings Road. The procession will end at Parsons Green. The parade will be a rolling procession with the team remaining on the bus at all times.

A big screen will be erected on Eel Brook Common — showing highlights of Chelsea’s season as well as live pictures from the bus as it makes its way from Stamford Bridge.

Due to the large number of people expected, several roads in the area will be closed following police advice from 8am on Sunday until the crowds disperse.

José Mourinho named his team at a Thursday morning press conference in Seoul before heading off to make a visit to the Samsung factory.

The side to face Suwon Bluewings is: Petr Cech; Gérémi, Robert Huth, Glen Johnson, Nuno Morais; Alexey Smertin, Claude Makelele (c), Tiago; Jirí Jarošik, Damien Duff, Joe Cole.

The manager told a supremely polite gathering of local media: "First Samsung signed a five year contract with the club, and then soon after I signed a five year contract. So it means we’ll be all married for the next five years with the same ambitions to be successful on the pitch and off the pitch.

"This will be our first game in the Samsung home in a beautiful moment for us because we have just won the Championship. My team is tired because we played consecutively 11 months of football, and we haven’t time to adapt, but we want to give a good match and we understand you are really in love with football."

South Korea is eight hours ahead of the UK. The game kicks off at 7pm on Friday local time, 11am UK time.
