Gallas and Robben Shine for France and Holland

So how did Chelsea's International players fair in last night's games? Let's get the rubbish out of the way first. The star of England's dismal, abysmal performance in Denmark last night was Man U's Wayne Rooney.

Scorer of England's goal, should have had another but was disallowed and should have had a penalty.

If the rest of the team that put on the white shirt last night had the same energy, enthusiasm and passion as Rooney had, England would reign surpreme. And David James an International goalkeeper? Don't make me laugh - seems that the majority of the England support behind his goal were of the same opinion. James was roundly booed and jeered everytime he touched the ball, after his serious error for Denmark's first.

Elsewhere. Arjen Robben scored twice for Holland in their match against Germany. Robert Huth was a second half substitute and was booked within two minutes of coming on.

William Gallas scored for France against the Ivory Coast on his birthday and it was his first International goal too. Claude Makelele played for 88 minutes and Didier Drogba had an impressive game although he didn't score.

Hernan Crespo played all the game against Hungary as Argentina won 2-1. Del Horno played 71 minutes for Spain against Uruguay.

Petr Cech was on the losing side as the Czech Republic lost 2-1 to Sweden and Damien Duff was also on the losing side as Republic of Ireland lost at home to Italy 2-1.

Eider Gudjohnsen skippered Iceland to a 4-1 win over South Africa.

Back to England. John Terry played 45 minutes before coming off at half-time with a slight knock (say no more). Frank was substituted on 64 minutes. Joe Cole played the whole game and Glenn Johnson played the second half and was booked.
