As Chelsea build-up to face Real Betis this evening at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League, The Special One has warned that Betis could be the most attack-minded opposition so far received in this Champions League season.
Jose said "You imagine that Betis will beat Anderlecht at home and that gives them six points. If they win one more match against Chelsea or Liverpool they have nine points and that gives them a chance to qualify. Everything is open and it will be open until end. Liverpool and Chelsea are in real trouble because Betis is dangerous."
"They were fourth in the Spanish League last season and that is better than champions in a lot of leagues," he added and then went on to say "They know at the moment for a team to come to Stamford Bridge just to defend is difficult. So I think they will come to play their game and they have the team to do that. They will not want to lose their personality, they will not lose their playing characteristics. They were clever. They knew they needed to win both games against Anderlecht so they played very attacking."
"I like their team, I like their way of playing. They have a lot of quality in their attacking players, they use that and they try to play football."
Jose would not be drawn on giving hints on the shape of the team for tonight but did say that Michael Essien would play.
And interesting confrontation between Joaquin and Del Horno could be witnessed this evening.
Here goes with the team prediction:
Cech, Ferreira, Terry, Gallas, Del Horno, Makelele, J Cole, Lampard, Essien, Robben, Crespo
