Who Will Win Football Icon?

To be honest I haven't got a clue. I think they are all good players in their own right and the three youngsters all have their own attributes, personalities to make the decision of the judges, including 'The Special One,' very very difficult indeed. Whether they 'have' what it takes to continue up the Professional ladder remains to be seen.

The three finalists are:

Sam Hurrell, Idemudia Oko Jie (aka Dee) and Mark Gradosielski. Sam is seventeen and is from Ickenham and plays left midfield/left wingback and he is a Chelsea supporter.

Dee is seventeen and from London. His position is right midfield/right back and Dee is a West Ham supporter.

Mark is eighteen and is from Essex. Mark too is a West Ham supporter and is from Essex. Mark's position is centre-midfield.

My choice of Football Icon winner is purely based on the fact that Sam is a Chelsea supporter. So GOOD LUCK Sam.

Football Icon has been enjoyable to watch, probably one of the better TV 'Reality' shows, but my lasting memory of the show will be from programme one, when the judges had to choose forty boys from around 6,000 applicants from an exhausting week of trials.

My memory will be of those youngsters who went along to the trials knowing that they were no good and had no chance of progressing further, but went for the experience and tired their best. Guys - You are the Football Icon. Well Done!

The Academy's game against Charlton today has been postponed to allow the youngsters more time to prepare for their FA Youth Cup-tie at Norwich on Monday night. Could the Football Icon winner make his debut?
