Home to Newcastle in the FA Cup

After yesterday's unconvincing display against League One highflyers Colchester United, Chelsea today were paired with Newcastle United at home in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The tie is set to be played w/c Monday 20th March. Date, kick-off time, ticket news to be announced at a later date. Chelsea have already announced that price concessions will continue as per previous rounds.

The remainder of the draw is a follows;

Charlton v Middlesbrough

Aston Villa or Man City v Bolton v West Ham

Birmingham v Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho's first tilt at the FA Cup was ended by Newcastle last season at St James' Park, with the toon winning 1-0. This was also the game where Wayne Bridge, now on loan at Fulham, severely injured his leg.

The Toon have already visited Stamford Bridge in the League this season, the Blues winning 3-0. There will be an element revenge in the air for last year's 5th round disappointment.
