Won Without Scott Sinclair (Who's Theo Walcott)??

Its always good to report a successful Chelsea result against Arsenal at any level, but this one against The Gooners ranks right up there. The Academy travelled to Arsenal on Saturday morning and came away with three points and a 3-0 win.
What makes it more special is that the Academy did it without (who's better than Theo Walcott) Scott Sinclair, who is in reserve team action tonight at Carrow Road. (Full updates on the message board from 7.30pm). Chelsea's scorers were Fabio Ferreira, Ricardo Fernandes and Harry Worley. Football Icon winner, Sam Hurrell made his 4th Academy appearance before being substituted by Saarelma. Academy coach Brendan Rodgers was estactic and even the news of the result announced prior to the game against Colchester yesterday was greeted by a deafening roar. (Shame about the home atmosphere for the rest of the game, thats for another time). Rodgers said,
"Fabio Ferreira put us ahead midway through the first-half. A good attacking header from six, seven yards out from Ryan Bertrand’s corner.
"Then after half-an-hour we had a good combination on the edge of their area and Ricardo Fernandes found himself on the right hand side with the ball, and unleashed a terrific drive into the top corner."
For the third goal, Rodgers said, "Just after half-time after a corner had been cleared, Ryan Bertrand put in another cross and Harry Worley headed in.
"It was a game where we could have scored a lot more. We controlled it after the first five to ten minutes. I was very pleased when we were in front at how we kept possession of the ball."
Team (4-2-1-3) Hamann; Ofori, Worley, Cork (c), Bertrand; Bridcutt, Furman; Fernandes (Ogbuagu); F Ferreira, Cummings, Hurrell (Saarelma).
This result meant the Academy had completed the double over the Gooners.......hmmmm just like the first team!!
Unfortunately for the Chelsea Ladies their luck was out against the Gooners in the Women's FA Cup. Chelsea Ladies crashed at home 6-1. (Well you gotta give the Gooners something to cheer about this season, hehehehehe)!!
