Where is Theo Walcott? - We've Got Scott!!

The Reserves went nap at The Rec this evening by blasting an extremely young Coventry side for six, with young starlet Scott Sinclair (where is Theo Walcott?) scoring a fine double.

Captain Danny Hollands chipped in with two - two fine volleys. Glenn Johnson got himself on the score-sheet and did James Simmonds who scored his first for the reserves this season.

The man of the match (and surprisingly not on the plane to Spain) was Carlton Cole. Cole had a hand in most of the goals and despite his best efforts could not get himself on to the scoresheet.

With the half-time score at only 1-0, there was no reason to suspect that the scoreline would finish so high. Coventry had to make three substitutions very quickly (and all through injuries - hamstrings) and the constant re-shuffling that Coventry had to endure, probably made the match that little bit easier for a talented and much stronger Chelsea team.

Take nothing away from Chelsea. Five second-half goals of which two were superb volley's from the skipper Danny Hollands, one from Scottie, Simmo and Glenno. But Carlton Cole, although he didn't score, did his first team recall chances no harm at all.

Coach Mick McGivern was full of praise for Carlton's contribution. He said 'he was absolutely brilliant.'

The Reserves next match is in two weeks on Monday 20th March away at Ipswich Town.

What a feast in the build-up for the main course tomorrow!!!
