Chelsea today sealed their second signing of the close season by buying 20 year old Ivorian Coastman Salomon Kalou from Holland's Feyenoord. The fee is undisclosed and Kalou has signed a three year contract.

Last season in Holland's Eredivisie for Feyernoord, Kalou scored fifteen league goals from thirty-five (plus one subs appearance) League appearances and in last season's UEFA Cup, Kalou made two appearances without return.

With Shevchenko due to sign this week does this mean the end for both Drogba and Crespo or will one or the other or both stay and fight for their places? Will Drogba now sign the four year extension deal that has been offered to him and did The Drog have any influence in persuading his fellow countryman to join the back-to back Champions?

No doubt all will be revealed before the World Cup kicks off in ten days time!!!
