Finally Andriy Shevchenko put pen to paper to join Chelsea last night and Mr Abramovich's long wait for his good friend to join him at Chelsea is AT LAST over.

The deal over four years has cost Chelsea in excess of £30m (a club transfer record and it is a straight cash deal!!). 'The Shev' is expected to earn a cool £140,000 per week.

Could 'The Shev' be the 20 goal a season man that everybody says Chelsea needs!! Two title wins in succession - we got FRANK LAMPARD!!

Seriously though the signing of 'The Shev' is a clear indication that the only trophy on target for Chelsea next season is the Champions League followed by the Premiership. Its simply clear Chelsea HAVE to win the CL next season to justify the outlay that 'The Shev's' friend has made.

Chelsea's intentions are perfectly clear. Michael Ballack, Kalou and now 'The Shev,' with Didier Drogba told that the Chelsea team for next season is going to be selected around the 'dream team' of Drogba and Shevcenko as Chelsea's main attacking strike-force.

All I need now is confirmation from Chelsea Football Club that my renewal applications for season tickets have been received and are being processed and that will make my wanting for the 2006/07 season to start even longer.
