Robben 'Illegal Approach' by Real Madrid!

Chelsea Football Club are writing to FIFA to ask them to investigate the possible 'illegal approach' of Arjen Robben while on World Cup 2006 duty with Holland.

 I refrained from using 'tap-up' 'cos that is exclusively assigned to the Ashley Cole transfer episode of last year, which this year could be a reality as Arsenal need to strengthened their squad for the forthcoming move to Ashburton Grove.

It seems the culprits of this unspeakable crime are the giants of Spain and are the ones that play in white and have the ex-England Captain David Beckham in their ranks...... yep you have guessed its Real Madrid!!

It seems that the new Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon claims that he has spoken to Robben and that Robben wants a move to Madrid. Chelsea have said via Chief Executive Peter Kenyon "We are aware of comments regarding Arjen made by Ramon Calderon, the new president of Real Madrid, since his successful election.

"The Arjen Robben situation could not be any clearer.

''There have been no meetings or conversations between the Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic with any Chelsea officials, anyone mandated to act on Chelsea's behalf or Roman Abramovich, about Arjen's future.

"Any indication that a transfer is possible is completely untrue. We will not be entertaining any offers for Arjen, he is not for sale.

"Moreover, we note that Mr Calderon confirms that Real Madrid have spoken to Arjen. As a result of these various comments Chelsea will be writing to FIFA to ask them to investigate an illegal approach for our player by Real Madrid."

To be honest, Robben is a 'divers' liability at Chelsea and yet again he proved it in the World Cup while playing for Holland. Whilst Robben was an impact in his first season at Chelsea, despite his injuiries, his second season proved difficult with all the 'diving' accusations flying about or diving about from all and sundry - media, press, TV commentators and rival fans - Real Madrid are welcomed to him.

Chelsea still have Damien Duff (who has signed an extension to his current contract) and Shaun Wright-Phillips who wants to stay at Chelsea, despite being left out of the England squad for the World Cup, even though he played more Premiership matches than Theo Walcott!!

And don't forget a certain Mr Ballack who has joined us, who 'dived' at the Bridge in the win against Bayern Munich two years ago!!
