A 24-Year-old right winger, Chris Shuker signed a two-year contract with Tranmere in July 2006.

 

He joined Rovers when several clubs were interested in signing him including Blackpool but decided to join the Team that was closest to his birthplace havng been born in Liverpool.

 

Shuker began his career at Manchester City for whom he played in the Premiership before moving to Barnsley on a permanent basis in April 2004 after a successful loan spell.  In his time at Oakwell he made 163 career appearances and scored 22 goals.

 

He was an influential part of Barnsley’s team as they were promoted from League 1 into the championship last season and now hopes he can help Tranmere to the same achievement.

 

The attacking minded winger who stands at just five foot five inches tall is known for his ability to beat players and put superb crosses into the box will definitely be a fans favourite at Prenton Park and will hopefully assist the strikers with a few much needed goals from midfield.
