Andy Taylor is December Player of the Month

After two weeks of voting, it's on loan left-back Andy Taylor who has been confirmed by Total Tranmere readers as their Player of the Month for December. Andy has impressed whilst on loan at Prenton Park and takes the award quite comfortably after some great displays.

After two weeks of voting, Andy Taylor was voted as the Total Tranmere Player of the Month for December.

The on loan left-back from Blackburn Rovers impressed throughout his loan spell and looks to be rewarded by that fact with a permanent deal at Prenton Park after he turned down a permanent move to Championship Club Blackpool last week stating that he would rather play first-team football at Tranmere than warm the bench at Bloomfield Road.

As can be seen, Taylor was a clear winner with Paul McLaren and then Anthony Kay running a close fight with each other for second place - a battle just won by McLaren despite Antony Kay's wonder goal against Carlisle United on Boxing Day.

Somewhat surprisingly, only Captain Ian Goodison failed to notch any votes in the poll this time around despite the defence clearly missing him in January so far since his sending off.
