Interesting Day as the Transfer Window Closes

In a busy day of news at Tranmere Rovers, Ronnie Moore brings in one player, loses another and has some good injury news along the way as well as the Transfer Deadline Day sprung a few suprises for Rovers fans. Ian Moore, son of Boss Ronnie comes in whilst Gareth Taylor leaves the Club.

An interesting day has unfolded with two players out and one player in as well as some good news on the injury front as well.

Ian Moore, son of Rovers Boss Ronnie was the player coming in and has signed a contract until Summer 2009.  In an interview he explained how there was only one decision despite nearly signing for Oldham after passing his medical there.

He also mentions how he's looking forward to playing his old club Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, Ronnie Moore spoke about his signing saying how delighted he is with his signing and looks forward to seeing him wearing a Rovers shirt.

Gareth Taylor and Paul Henry were the players going out with Gareth and Paul joining Doncaster and TNS repectively.  Gareth has signed with Doncaster apparently on a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to a longer deal in the Summer.

This seems to have then paved the way for Ian Moore to come in.  Paul Henry has joined TNS till the end of the season to gain vital experience ahead of next season where he will fight for his place in the Tranmere first team.

Meanwhile Chris Shuker had his tests this week which came out very positive from Tranmere's and his point of view, when he first sustained the injury he was to miss the whole season but after these tests they show the injury is not as worse as first thought and he will be out for four to six weeks and this is a big boost with Tranmere pushing for promotion.

Tranmere's next game is away against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon with a 3pm kick off, Tranmere look to be taking a decent amount of fans over there and with almost a full strength side available hopefully a fourth win in a row will push us into a promotion place.
