Tranmere Rovers Vs Millwall

Saturday 16th February 2008 - Kick-Off 3.00pm

Coca-Cola League One at Prenton Park

A month ago, Rovers travelled to Millwall's New Den and won 1-0 with a late goal from Antony Kay.  That win was Rovers' first on the road in the League since October but now five games later they are still unbeaten and back in the play-off positions.

The win in London a month ago was the first of four on the trot which included a superb 2-0 win away at Leeds.

The Lions have won one, lost four and drawn one of their six away matches and their form at home is just as inconsistent which is the reason why they sit in 20th place just one point above the relegation zone ahead of this game.

Rovers on the other hand have won four, lost one and drawn one (their last game at home against Leyton Orient last Saturday) and are back in the play-off hunt.  After two draws though they will be hoping to get back to winning ways with three points likely to further secure a play-off place as the run-in to the end of the season begins.

Last season at Prenton Park, goals from Gareth Taylor, Chris Greenacre and Chris Shuker earned a 3-1 win for Tranmere against Millwall with Chris Hackett getting the consolation goal for Millwall.

Let's hope for a big crowd and let's get behind the lads from the kick-off!

Tranmere Team News

Striker Calvin Zola is a doubt ahead of the visit of Millwall but fellow striker Chris Greenacre will be pushing for a starting place if Zola is absent.

Steve Davies (cruciate ligaments) is now well on the road to recovery and could even be back in April whilst Chris Shuker (cruciate ligaments) could return in around six weeks time.

Match Referee - Darren Drysdale (Lincolnshire)
