Two First Half Goals Seal Victory for Rovers

By MikeyB

One change was made to the Rovers side, Chris Greenacre replaced Calvin Zola, who had injured his thigh. A goal after 10 minutes from Shane Sherriff, and another on the stroke of half time from new signing Ian Moore, sealed a comfortable three points for Tranmere this afternoon at Prenton Park. The win moved them into fifth place, ahead of Rovers' next game, away at Bristol Rovers a week today.

It said on BBC (website and 'Score') that Taylor got first for us.

My dad said the same about BBC although their match summariser who was at the game said Sherriff had scored despite the Score thing saying otherwise.

My first thought even before they announced it at the game was that Sherriff had scored!

Thanks for doing the Stats Mikey!

A very complete performance. They were a poor side and as soon as our first went in their was only ever going to be one winner. We played a shite League One team off the park and if it wasn't for their 'keeper it could have been six or seven. They had their moments, especially before the goal, but Danny made some very good saves and then we did the business down the other end.

For me, McLaren was man of the match. What a player

Our creative genius

Masterclass!

I'd say him and Ian Moore were the main contenders today! Moore for his chasing down and the goal he scored.. well.. it was amazing.

In the newspaper I read It had It down as a Andy Taylor goal too! You think they could research the goalscorers wouldnt you! They all played pretty well to be fair. I'd probably vote for Sheriff though.
