Tranmere Reserves recorded a 2-1 win away at Blackpool on Wednesday night thanks to two first half goals from Mike Jones and Ashton Taylor. Rovers and Blackpool both fielded an in-experienced side but Rovers second string came out on top in the end.

Tranmere's Reserve side which in fairness could really be called the Youth Team for yesterday's game, recorded a 2-1 victory over an equally inexperienced Blackpool side at Fleetwood Town's Highbury Ground on Wednesday evening.
Rovers named just two professional players in their side in Danny Holmes and Mike Jones with the rest of the side made up from youth team players.
It was the visitors from the Wirral who took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Josh MacAuley's shot was saved the Blackpool keeper but fell kindly for Mike Jones to tap into the net.
The second Rovers goal was just another three minutes in coming when defender Ashton Taylor headed home from a Louis Corrigan corner kick.

Blackpool gave themselves hope just before half-time when some poor play from Rovers allowed them to pull a goal back but despite second half efforts Gornell, Corrigan and MacAuley, Rovers couldn't extend their lead in the second half but at the same time neither could Blackpool add to their single goal.
After the match, Reserve Team Manager Shaun Garnett praised his young side for the victory saying.....
"All credit to the boys. It was a good performance and we could easily have won by a greater margin,"

Maybe Trevor or Pedro did though?
Taylor,Beehan,Jones played superb Corrigan had an under par game on left side thought davis might of got a run out.
Defence was solid apart from a little lack of concentration for there goal but the team is only young overall tho a very entertaining game taylor is a great prospect after watching him play cm concidering hes a cb. Should have a better squad next year concidering they were youth players an only 2 pros out
