Ronnie Moore's Monday press conference earlier today saw him discuss the importance of shape in the team ahead of the next two important away games at both Huddersfield and Peterborough in the next few weeks. Follwoing the 1-0 home defeat to Oldham last Saturday it's important that Rovers improve their away form.

Ronnie Moore spoke in his Monday press conference of the importance of shape in the team and of staying organised, especially away from home.

Moore told Tranmere World........

"We're working all this week on pattern play and keeping two banks of four if we play 4-4-2 and keeping the bank of five if we play 4-5-1, especially away
from home."

"We have been too cavalier and we have to put that right.  Decent sides stay organised, and if we're playing 4-4-2 the wingers have to be disciplined when you're not on the ball and tuck in."

"We need to get it right as we've got two very tough away games coming up. Both clubs (Huddersfield Town and Peterborough United) have spent a lot in the transfer market, not on fees but on wages.  But it's about us. We've got to get our defensive frailties right. If we don't we put so much pressure on our home games."

"If we can take four points out of the next two games it's a big ask but there's no reason why we can't if we're disciplined and we do the things we're going to do in the coaching session this week."

On the performance of on loan Stoke City defender Ryan Shotton, Moore added....

"He's a big lad and he's strong.  He likes to play and he takes a chance, but overall I thought he was tremendous.  He won his share of headers and I think there's a big future for him.  He can play right back as well, and we've got to have a look at that for Saturday."

"Gareth Edds is still feeling his groin and won't train today, so with Goodison
coming back it might be that Ryan finds himself playing right back."
