Ronnie Pre-Match - "I've Seen a Lot of Positives"

Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore and defender Ben Chorley today gave their pre-match thoughts ahead of the trip to Huddersfield Town's Galpharm Stadium on Saturday and first we look at what the Gaffer had to say as his side look to record their first away win of the season..

Ronnie Moore today gave his pre-match thoughts to Tranmere World ahead of the trip to face much fancied Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

Moore told Tranmere World...........

"It's performances we need away from home.  We got the performance in the Leicester game but didn't get the result.  We have to learn how to win away from home."

"It  will be a pleasure when we win away.  We've got two real testers now. Huddersfield got the win on Saturday that will perk them up and Peterborough are well fancied." 

"We have to be positive, there are a lot of positives out of the way we've been playing.  We've lost three away, one in the cup and two in the league."

"Sometimes there's nothing you can do about the goals you concede, but the ones we've conceded have been comical.  But I've seen a lot of positives in training.  We've worked on keeping our shape whether in 4-4-2, 3-5-2 or 4-3-3."

"They all know what is expected of them defensively.  We have to be more compact as a unit and that's what we've worked on all week."

"We have to go to Huddersfield and make it difficult for them.  If we play anything like we can, I'm not frightened of going anywhere."

Speaking of the Players in the squad, Moore revealed that Gareth Edds is still a doubt but that Ian Goodison is available after International duty with Jamaica last week.........

"Goody is available. He'll be disappointed they've lost the two games while he's been away.  He took a nasty knock in the first game but was able to play on Wednesday.  It's nice to have him back.  He leads in different ways and he makes a massive difference while he's here.  I know in the last game he took a little chance and gave a goal away, but his presence helps the team."
