Ronnie Moore: "We're Looking A Lot More Solid"

Ronnie Moore was overall pleased overall with the point his side gained in the 0-0 draw at Stockport last night. Although the game lacked any real cutting edge from either side, the draw was a decent result against a team who sit just behind Rovers in the League table.

Following the 0-0 away draw at Stockport County on Tuesday night, Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore was pleased with the point and with the contribution of his side to the game.

Moore told Tranmere World...........

"It was a close fought game.  They're a very good young side, with a good style of play and they played well in the first half.  In the second half we came out and had the better chances. It just didn't go for us, but I can't complain."

"It has been a good hard night's work for us and it was another clean sheet for us.  We're looking a lot more solid as a unit and it starts up front.  Bas is up there alone and the two wingers are working their socks off."

"We had a good following, it would have been nice to have finished with a goal and a win for them."

"The end was bad for us.  The first one (Andy Taylor yellow card) the ref should have used his common sense, the second one Andy should have used his common sense.  I've always said that good defenders stay on their feet. Taylor did clip him but how many rolls has he done?"

"So we're a left back short now and Ian Goodison has picked up a bit of a hamstring strain so it looks like he might be missing on Saturday."
