Ronnie Moore blamed uncharacteristic defensive mistakes for Tranmere's failure to win at Hereford on Boxing Day after his side twice let a lead slip away after Edrissa Sonko had given Rovers the lead on both sides of half-time, only to be pegged back.

Ronnie Moore blamed defensive errors for Tranmere's failure to win at Hereford on Boxing Day.
Moore told Tranmere World........
"It is disappointing to go in front twice and not hold on for a victory but some of our defending was poor and we paid for it. Our strengths became our weaknesses today."
"Hereford's second equaliser was very disappointing. We had a number of opportunities to clear the ball; it was like head tennis on the edge of our box."

"But we've still come away with a point and we were positive in the way we went into the game with a 4-4-2 formation."
"I said to Edrissa Sonko before the game that I fancied him to score so I'll have to say the same to him before we play Walsall on Sunday. He's had a few chances this season and not taken some of them. But he was a composed finisher today."
