Moore Demands Aggression from Rovers Vs Stockport

Ahead of tomorrow's game against Stockport County at Prenton Park in Coca-Cola League One, Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore demanded aggression from his side as they look to firmly put their promotion hopes back on track against their near neighbours from Prenton Park.

With a second home game in four days tomorrow night, there is a great chance for Rovers to make more progess in the race for an end of season play-off place and Boss Ronnie Moore demanded his team show more aggression as the race begins to hot up.

Speaking to Tranmere World earlier today, Moore said.....

"It's another tough game for us.  They will be smarting from their defeat on Saturday and we expect them to battle.  But our home form is as good as anybody's in the division and we are looking forward to the challenge."

"Stockport are a good side who like to pass it and give you problems in the way they play with their movement.  But if we play as well as we can then hopefully we'll be ok."

"Jim [Gannon] will be disappointed that Oldham got into their ribs and over powered them.  That's something we have to do.  If we stand off, like when we went there earlier in the season, they ran us ragged in the first half.  We need to be aggressive in the right way.  We need to stop them from playing, and then get our full backs forward."

With regard to the recent striker crisis at Prenton Park, something that people outside of the Club may find surprising given Saturday's result, Moore will be releived to at least have Bas savage available again following his suspension against Carlisle but Craig Curran and Chris Greenacre will still be missing....

"The strikers are all missing again, though Bas Savage is back in the reckoning.  Kaysy won't play tomorrow, but hopefully he'll be fit for the game on Saturday.  It will be more or less what finished that will start this game."

"Craig (Curran) saw a specialist last week. He's going to work with Les for a fortnight to try and work on his fitness.  He had the setback which wasn't good for him.  I feel sorry for him.  He's first in and last out, he wants to play and he keeps getting these niggling injuries which are stopping him at the moment."
