We've got a real chance to pick up lots of points in the next two weeks here. I firmly believe we can win our next four, against Stockport and Orient at home as well as Crewe and Cheltenham away.

Lets get three points here. Stick with the same team as Saturday, except Edds in for Kay, and let's close that gap between ourselves and the play-offs.

I agree that the next four games are all decent chances for us and in a few weeks time we COULD be looking quite good (fingers crossed!).

Kick starting our away form on Saturday is very important though!

hopefully we can beat stockport, i think that this is the type of game we need to win as we seem to slip up against teams like stockport

The difference in quality between Stockport and Carlisle was definitely evident tonight and that a much better win in some ways than Saturday was as we had to fight a hell of a lot harder.

Once again Moore was excellent upfront as was Shuker and I thought Sonko had a superb game and put himself about really well.

Chorley was solid as ever at the back and Jennings and Edds were great in midfield.

A stupid goal to concede in the end but a great win all the same.

Crewe got battered again today conceding four goals and in their last seven games have averaged three goals against - we need a win on Saturday for sure!

Against Crewe on Saturday we need to set the tempo early on and get them on the back foot, if we are to break into the top six we have to be beating these teams near the bottom.

A 2-0 scoreline would be great in my opinion!

Edds is having a purple patch as well, lets hope that continues!

We were stunning. We played them off the park and a 2-1 scoreline flattered them completely.

Edds, Moore, Shuker, Chorley and Taylor were all excellent whilst my MOTM was Jennings. He worked so, so hard and ran his @#$%& off. Looked lots more confident than before after his goal on Saturday and I hope he signs a new contract soon.

We passed it around really well and worked very, very hard. Everytime they had the ball we pressured them and often won it back.

A thoroughly deserved win and now roll on Crewe.

Six consecutive home league wins for the first time since the 1994/95 season. Happy days. If only we could now pick up some away wins and we'd be right up there!

Couldn't go to the match,but from the Official Site's match report it sounds as if only their goalie stopped it being a slaughter

I can only remember them having 1 decent chance on goal and that was when they scored. Once again the team that played tonight was as good as the side that played the second half against Carlisle, and the only difference between those 3 halves and the first half against Carlisle was Edds being in for Kay.

It would be harsh to drop Edds if Kay is back for Crewe at the weekend, and playing in position for Barnett wouldn't work for him either in my opinion as we have seen a couple of times this season, but even Barnett played well last night I thought.

Shuker was great once again, a few efforts from just outside the box kept their keeper on his toes, and Shotton has once again found his feet quickly and given us some much needed support when attacking, and against vulnerable Crewe we can really seal something if we play the same way he have done.

Next weekend there's another big game for us to concentrate on outside of our own. Scunthorpe travel to Millwall, both sides are 7pts above us, and if we win then we will be 5pts behind two of the play-off sides at most.

If the teams above us including us should be winning the games against sides around the foot of the table, and winning at home to sides below 10th spot, then these are the games where points can be dropped by those sides.

3rd Feb
Stockport v MK Dons

7th - 9th Feb
Leicester v Oldham
Millwall v Leeds

We are the only side currently in the top 9 who get to play on the 10th when we play our re-arranged match with Colchester. So if we drop any points before then (which I think we will), then that is when we have the perfect opportunity to get back on track. It's perfect for us to have 5 teams in the promotion places seperated by 3pts, because if one of them loses, then we aren't going to lose much ground if we don't win matches. We have 4 away matches in our next 5 games so we need to start picking up the points on the road

When I looked at the League Table before last night we were seven points off 6th spot and I remember thinking that was quite a gap at this stage especially if we were to have lost to Stockport.

With Oldham losing and us winning though the gap is down to four and like you say there is very much everything to play for!

ronnie must have given two reali good half time talks against carlisle n stockport

For me the best 90 minutes of the season. Everyone seemd up for it, harrying when they were in possession, and a lot of movement off the ball. We made them look very ordinary indeed

Yes i can't fault any one it was a team performance we looked solid last night. There keeper was very good or it would have been another high score. Bring that performance to Crewe and we will turn them over. We tend not to show up against the bottom teams so let's hope they go for it

Their 'keeper was a thoroughly nice guy, fair play to him. Had a great game and was very good to our fans behind the goal too, taking time to laugh and joke with them and clapping them both before and after the game.

Danny wakoo, if you look at our stats at home this season, the vast majority of our goals have come in the 2nd half. Which probably suggests that Ronnie wants us to maintain our energy levels in the 1st half and not push to score early on,and then in the 2nd half atttack all the way thus score alot more frequently.

Btw out of all our home games this season (inc.cups) we have scored 9 first half goals and 21 second half goals!
