Midfielder Ahmed Departs to Another Loan Club

Rovers midfielder Adnan Ahmed has joined his third Club this season today after finally securing a seemingly on and off loan deal at League Two side Port Vale for the next month after a previous loan spell in non-League football earlier on this season.

After a false dawn last week, Rovers midfielder Adnan Ahmed has finally joined League Two side Port Vale on a month long loan deal after a brief trial at Vale Park a couple of weeks ago.

Vale have become Ahmed's third Club of the season after he earlier made ten appearances for Blue Square Premier side Mansfield Town, scoring twice and being booked three times in total.

Although Ahmed has not made an appearance for Rovers this season, he was on the bench for Tranmere's 2-1 home win over Carlisle United on Tuesday night and perhaps many Rovers fans thought he may finally get a first team chance after impressing in pre-season just as he did in pre-season the year before.

His chance hasn't come though and whether this loan move is the beginning of the end of Adnan's Rovers' career or not remains to be seen but the former Manchester United and Huddersfield Town midfielder is out of contract at Prenton Park in the summer.

Speaking of his move to Vale Park, Ahmed told the Port Vale Official Website that he was looking forward to his time at Vale Park...

"When I came here a couple of weeks ago I really enjoyed myself.  The lads were fantastic and the gaffer was brilliant, along with the coaching staff, so I was raring to go."

"Unfortunately there was a hiccup at Tranmere, but luckily it has all been sorted out now so I am glad to be here now.  The fact that I have met all of the lads already and trained with them can make a big difference and I settled in straight away today."

Ahmed has Joined Port Vale on a Month Long Loan Deal

"I have played here a few times before and I have been here as a young lad as well so I know the place reasonably well.  I am probably as fit as I have been for a long while and free from injury and I've got bags of energy, so hopefully I can get on the ball and help the team to tick a bit."

"At the moment I am going to take one game at a time and hopefully do well and you never know what that might lead to.  I have come here to play football, so I will concentrate on that.  Other things might happen, but in the mean time I am just going to concentrate on my football."

"Now that I am here I just want to get down and get playing.  I'm not sure whether I will start on the bench on Saturday or what's going to happen, but I am raring to go."

Meanwhile Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore insisted that the move will be a benefit for Ahmed, telling the Tranmere Rovers Official Website....

"Adnan has had limited opportunities in the centre of midfield for us due to the form of Antony Kay, Steve Jennings, Gareth Edds and Charlie Barnett this season.

"He will benefit from playing first team football in League Two at Port Vale."
