Latest Issue of Rovers Fanzine Now Available

The latest issue of the Rovers Fanzine ‘Give Us An R’ is now on sale and as ever Total Tranmere is the only Rovers Site to bring you a detailed look at why the Fanzine is once again well worth a read. The usual features are joined by some new contributions which once again make it worth the £2.00 cost.

With a number of recent games postponed and re-arranged, the latest edition of the Rovers Fanzine ‘Give Us An R' has been a little longer in coming than usual but Issue 53 (Feb/Mar 09) is now on sale priced £2.00 at all upcoming Rovers matches.

The current issue (pictured below) features Ian Moore in action in the recent away game at Crewe Alexandra which Rovers of course lost late on but although that particular away trip is not featured in the away days sections in this current issue, there are reports on the away trips to Bristol Rovers, Hereford and Millwall in Issue 53.  These make very entertaining reading despite the fact that Rovers only took one point from those three games.

Part two of the ‘A New Era Begins' feature, which started in the last issue, continues it's look at the redevelopment of Prenton Park in 1994-5 from the terrace-strewn Stadium of old to the modern all-seater ground we know today.

Regular contributors ‘The Doctor', ‘The Paddock Man' and Total Tranmere's own ‘Deadly Submarine' each have a section in this issue whilst ‘The Man in Black' has two pieces on differing topics and it's certainly interesting to see how opinions on Rovers' current situation differ just from one contributor to another.

With the excellent Anglo-Italian Cup articles of recent issues having now come to an end, there is a feature on the recent ‘Ian Muir - T.R.F.C Legend' event which was held at St. Mary's Cricket Club in Birkenhead in December and featured the main man himself looking back on his time at Tranmere and his career in general.

Issue Number 53 of 'Give Us An R' is Out Now!

The ‘You Don't Have to Be Mad' interview section features another willing Tranmere volunteer talking about his life as a Rovers fan for many years and there is also the usual Football Grounds Picture Quiz along with the answers to the pictures from the last issue.

At just £2.00, ‘Give Us An R' is a worthwhile purchase for any avid Rovers' Fan so if you have perhaps thought about buying it before but never got round to it, why not make this issue your first one? 

We can highly recommend it as a publication written by fans for fans and with no connection in its content to the Club itself, giving views that you may not otherwise see in a matchday programme.

It can be bought at all Rovers home matches from Dave who positions himself on the left hand side of the road entrance to the Main Car Park at Prenton Park on the bit of waste ground on the opposite side of the entrance to the Mersey Clipper Pub (Dave is usually standing just under the Board which shows the next few matches that are due to be played at Prenton Park).

Dave is also at almost all Rovers away matches during the season, standing somewhere near the away turnstiles selling the Fanzine so there is plenty of chances to pick up your copy - you won't regret it in our opinion.
