Moore and Roberto: Post-Match Views

Following Rovers' 1-1 draw at home to high-flying MK Dons in Coca-Cola League One, both Managers had differing views on the game with Dons Boss Roberto Di Matteo satisfied but Rovers Boss Moore disappointed.
Following the 1-1 draw this afternoon at Prenton Park between Tranmere and Milton Keynes Dons, both Managers had differing views on the outcome of the game with Dons Manager Roberto Di Matteo obviously happier with the point his side hardly deserved...
Ronnie Moore, who frustrated his side failed to win, told the Tranmere Rovers Official Website.....
"We were the side trying to win it. We just needed a spark, a break or something bouncing in the box with someone getting on the end of it. It was indiscipline for the penalty. It was a crazy decision which gave the referee no option. If you can't get the ball you can't tug the lad."
"We made too many wrong decisions in the final third today. I can't fault the effort or committment. What I can fault is the decision making. We made all the wrong decisions today."
"We'll keep working, there are games there to be played and we haven't lost. I'm pleased for Terry, it's great for him to get his first goal for the Club. I'm just gutted because we gifted them the opportunity to score against us. If we hadn't, Terry might have been on the back pages making headlines because his first goal had won us the game. But ifs and buts don't get you anything."
"Goodison was last minute and he was struggling. Nobody else at this Club and not many at other clubs would have played today in his condition. His running was fine but his ankle is sore. He played without an injection and gave his all. He had two block tackles in the game that other people would have come off from, and eventually it told on him."
Meanwhile Dons Boss Di Matteo was satisfied with his side's point but suggested that Rovers equaliser should not have stood.
Di Matteo told the MK Dons Official Website....
"You're always disappointed when you go ahead and then concede from a set piece but I think it was a fair result at the end."
"It was impossible to get the ball down and play, we tried, but the ball was just bouncing off the ground and it was impossible get it under control."
"I think the whole team did well. Tranmere are a tough team I have to say, especially at home. It's very tough to come up here and get something."
"I felt we handled them quite well and didn't concede much. Perhaps I would have liked us to be more positive in the sense that we should create a bit more but, as I said, it was a difficult pitch today."
"You always have to wait until the end of the game because the other team will always throw everything at you when they have nothing to lose so it's not easy to defend against."
"My players were saying in the dressing room that the goal was handball, that he punched it in with his hand, so on top of that we're disappointed it was allowed."
"At the end of the day I think it's a good point away from home."
