Leicester City Victory Earns Rovers Award

Last night's 2-0 home victory over League One Leaders Leicester City which ended their 22 game unbeaten run has earned Tranmere the League Manager's Association Award for performance of the week.

As well as the buzz and pride still being felt today by Rovers fans after their side brought Leicester City's 22-game unbeaten run to and end with a fully deserved 2-0 victory last night, there is now further reason for fans and staff at the Club to be pleased after that performance earned Rovers the League Manager's Association Performance of the Week Award.

The Award, which is sponsored by F&C Investments saw a panel consisting of Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry all agree that the game which saw goals for Antony Kay and Steven Jennings, was the worthy of thw Award.

Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation which will be screened live on Sky's Soccer Saturday this Saturday 14th March.
