After Tranmere recorded a 3-1 home win over Huddersfield Town at Prenton Park this afternoon, Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore was delighted to see his side move into the play-off places at the expense of Oldham Athletic.

Moore told Tranmere World.....

"They came and made it difficult.  The first half was a bit scrappy, but the five minute spell won us the game.  At 1-1 the next goal was going to be important.  Bas came inside and rifled it.  He should be playing shots from there.  It was a super goal that deserved to win the game."

"The back four did well for us.  They won headers and Ben Chorley got a couple of blocks in.  I think we deserved to win it and it's nice to have moved off ninth spot.  But we haven't done anything yet.  We've given ourselves a chance and there's three away games coming.  We've got to make sure we don't blow it."

"The crowd has been good the last couple of games.  There hasn't been as many here as we'd like, or as many as they deserve watching them, but they have got behind us and stuck with us.  There's a great atmosphere here at the moment."

Moore also revealed that the game had come at some cost ahead of Tuesday's away trip to Cheltenham Town.

"One or two have picked up knocks.  Terry has done his medial ligaments, hopefully he won't be out too long, and Danny Mayor has a hamstring injury really low down.  We'll get them in tomorrow for treatment, and hopefully Ian (Moore) will be involved more on Monday."
