We have a few more players out in addition to those already injured but these are the away games we need to win if we are going to remain in with a play-off chance.

Must win game if we want to stay where we are, regardless of our injuries, we should be beating a side who are doomed to relegation, otherwise how the hell are we going to win away to MK Dons or Peterborough in the play-offs??

Does anyone know if there will be any commentary of this game on any radio stations?

Listening to the game, we were awful by the sounds of it and it could be more. Same old Tranmere away from home, nothing has changed.

All we can do is move onto Saturday, by no means is it over yet. We've got 3 home games we must and will win. 5 away games, 3 of them being against teams around us, we need to pick up 3 wins, preferabley against those nearest us, starting with Oldham on Saturday.

That was so dissapointing, after the two brilliant home wins I felt we could kick on against a poor side but no. We have to go to Oldham and Brighton and win both and I just can't see it happening, ultimately our terrible away record will cost us. Gutted.

if we can't beat cheltenham away, what hope do we have against the top teams.

Deserved win for Cheltenham.
Passing was awful.
No variety, just long ball up for Savage to nod to nobody.
Everyone seemed lethargic.
Was Mayor the magic ingredient in last couple of games?

Mayor was the magic ingredient indeed mate - he was sorely missed tonight and it showed.

The first decent cross we put in during the game was in the 89th minute when Kay should have done far better from Shotton's ball in.

People who didn't go tonight will keep going on about there being too much negativity but the fact is that based on tonight's game, if Mayor doesn't play on Saturday we don't have much of a chance in my opinion.

All we did today was play hoofball to both Savage and Moore with the wingers virtually non-existent.

Cheltenham were awful and looked like a side deservedly bottom and set to go down but the fact is that we were worse.

They scored from their best chance of the game (a superb goal by the way and worthy of winning any game) but apart from hitting the post through Shotton's overhead kick and Kay heading over late on we offered nothing.

It was nice to see Curran come on near the end but for those who haven't heard Goodison got injured at the end of the game and I will be very surprised if he starts on Saturday having already played half-fit tonight.

As Mikey said it's far from over, mainly because beating Oldham on Saturday would be massive but my personal view (as it was even before tonight and after the two good home performances last week) is that we will fall just short of having what it takes to do enough overall regardless of whether we beat Oldham or not.

People are saying that six wins from nine (now eight) will do it which means we have to win all our home games and three from Oldham, Brighton, Walsall, Leeds and Scunthorpe away - none of which I fancy wins in it has to be said!

In recent home games we've played well and not won but we can't even seem to have the opposite in our favour as tonight we played terribly and still failed to win!

Saving our worst away performance of the season for such for such a critical time was gutting but we just have to move on to Saturday as Mikey says and hope that Mayor can play - then we may still have a chance!!

Fingers Crossed that we can still do it. I won't be putting money on it myself but to quote Mikey again - "It's far from over"

Man of the Match for me was Ben Chorley. Although his distribution wasn't the best at times he was solid defensively!

Did Sonko play? I don't think I heard his name mentioned on the World Commentary once!
It's never going to work for us with 2 big men up front, I don't think it's just Mayor that's the magic ingredient, I think it's Gornell as well. The young lad has worked well with Savage up front, and he was missed last night in my opinion, it seemed to me that we picked up when Curran came on, but still overall it was ultimately disappointing.
Moore said before the game that Ian was carrying a knock and was a doubt for the game, and that if he would miss out then Kay could drop back with Edds taking his place, why didn't that happen? He chose to risk Ian, which could now have every chance of proving costly if that ankle has been aggravated overnight.

To put it simply for me, if Mayor doesn't play, and we have to start with Savage and Moore up front on Saturday, I will not even follow the match because I know which way it will be going once again.

At least our home form has been good, if it had been as bad as away form where would we be. But we're still up and around the top 6. IMO its scunny that are going to be our main rivals with a game in hand and grabbing the 6th place last night.

At home, we attack opposition and we play with two wingers who get forward and put crosses into the box. So why don't we do that away? It's OBVIOUS. The wingers need to get forward and put crosses in. It'd help if one of the wingers wasn't Eddy "I think I'm the Pope" Sonko, as he couldn't cross a T, but we still need to be putting more crosses into the box.

We just hoofed it to Savage every time, and he did NOTHING. He was clearly unfit, as was Moore and as was Goodison. Passing was dire and only Chorley and Jennings looked like they wanted it.

Needed to get Cresswell on to cross it and take the set pieces but Ronnie is clearly reluctant to play Aaron

It is better to play a squad member than try to play with 2 injured strikers,Ronnie needs to show more faith in the youngsters,it must be gutting for them to watch half-fit players playing,I'd be thinking"He doesn't rate me over a 50% fit player,he can't think im good enough"

Wayne, ALL the strikers are injured, Moore, Savage, Gornell, Greenacre and Curran - all six of them are not fit.
