By Deadly Submarine

If you're unable to make the away game at Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon in Coca-Cola League One, why not discuss the game right here as Tranmere look to make their away form count against one of their play-off place competitiors.
Oldham A v Tranmere R Kick-Off 3.00pm at Boundary Park

At Total Tranmere, we always like to take note of feedback from the users of the site and respond to it in the best way we can. One thing we have picked up on more recently is that after Tranmere games there seem to be a lot of different threads that get started about the same game.
As a result of this feedback, from now on we will be providing Match Discussion Threads for every occasion when Tranmere play.Tranmere are of course playing away at Oldham Atheltic on Saturday afternoon at Boundary Park in Coca-Cola League One so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on and even discuss the team news and build up to the game beforehand too?
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses. Or why not post the line-ups or anything else you can think of.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in League One as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Great turnout from the SWA ,heres hoping for a few more "jingles" before the end of the season

The result was emphatic but the performance was also of a similar standard. The main periods in the game we dominanted and the only major chance they had was when Lee Hughes rounded Coyne but hit the bar when it was easier to score than miss (Watch the Championship tomorrow to see how!)
The defence were solid and calm on the ball (Chorley and Goodison had no clear threats), playing the odd hoof ball but it was because the ball was played on the FLOOR that we took the lead. Pinpoint cross from Shotton and Charlie crafted a superb shot into the the roof of the net. Rovers fans = in ecstasy.
Bas Savage tormented the defence in the second half and Jenno was again at the heart of everything his reward was to get the penalty after a lung bursting run into the box. Kay making a superb tackle seconds beforehand to set the attack up. Moore converts to end the game and put Tranmere fand dreams of the play offs back on track.
Width was also given today and Sonko saw lots of the ball and could of had a goal himself but was unlucky. However he was crucial for the first goal.
Cresswell was immense and made an astonding block to deny Hughes in the first half. It was to be the catalyst for his quality performance, a definate contender for MOTM.
To top it off at the final whistle the Oldham fans who were now leaving in their numbers decided to take a shot at Ronnie Moore, this was not a wise decision as Ronnie simply cupped his hand to his ear and pointed to the scoreboard.
Sweet, Sweet satisfaction. Best game I've witnessed away from home in a long time.

its up there with leicster and leeds as the performance of the season
From start to finish we wanted it a lot more, even off the field, the oldham fans were silenced by constant Rovers singing.
About time we got a win there, its been a while, We coulndt have rained on joe royals parade anymore as with 15minutes left the oldham stands were half empty. The appearance of the giant flag was great to see, making its way all over the away end.
Quite funny when one fan who was leaving earlier started kissing a united badge
not like he had much to sing about yesterdfay either.
What a great finish from charlie, hes was class throughout and my motm, pleased ian moore took the penalty to shut the oldham fans, shame he got booked for celebrating though
The rest of the team played fantastic too, Goodison and chorley were rocks and barely gave hughes an inches (except when he missed the open goal :L) Cresswell coming in was again nice to see as he made a goal-saving block from hughes i think in the first half. Sonko had a decent game to be fair, but should have scored with the header in the first half. Jeno was fantastic the driving force, kay didnt get any shots on goal but was very effective at breaking up the midfield and hitting some superb balls over the top. Shotton was his usual solid self and savage ran throughout and cant really fault him.
Overall what a great performcance and result cant wait to see the championship so i can re-live it!

I can't fault anybody except Goodison after yesterday. He was ok 2nd half but he did try to hand them the led twice in the 1st. Great finish by Charlie, and good work by Jenno and Kay to win the pen. Cresswell was fantastic too. I thought him and Charlie were brilliant down the left flank. One of them is my motm. Can't really seperate them.
And the support was superb. Alltogether, great day

Loved every second, very proud moment, every player gave everything and a fully deserved victory.
We made Oldham look average and the fans got behind the players from start to finish. Having read an Oldham forum site a large amount of their fans were very bitter about the result and this makes me smile! Ian and Ronnie both not very professional today, both cupping their ears to their fans, i will let it go though aslong as its a one off!
2 points behind and scunthorpe a game in hand, if we keep putting the pressure on they will crack eventually.
Now lets get behind them like that for the rest of the season.... lets take 400 to brighton and sing our hearts out. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!
We just need to grind results out now and I think we'll be there. Our home games are winnable and with fortress Prenton Park bouncing you can easily add another 7 points to the tally.
Just like to add another three points and we will have equalled our points total for the whole of last season!
This shows we are PROGRESSING.
Every ball is a white ball............TRFC
Hughes missing that chance suggested it might be our day and so it proved.
Same again tomorrow though or it might all be pretty pointless, enjoyable though it was of course!
