Moore Post Brighton: "We Needed a Bit of Luck"

After the 0-0 away draw at Brighton yesterday afternoon, Ronnie Moore was disappointed that his side didn't get more from the game by taking some of the chances that came his side's way particularly in the second half of the game.

Ronnie Moore was disappointed with his side's 0-0 draw away at Brighton on Saturday afternoon and insisted that the lack of a bit of magic from his players was the difference between a draw and a win.

Moore told Tranmere World...... 

"The big thing is the lads gave their all. We needed a bit of luck and had the better chances but it wasn't to be.  I know the other teams won but we picked up a point and it's not the end of the world. Both teams gave their all."

"I think it was a penalty, there's no doubt about that.  The lad took down him from behind when he was about to shoot but it hasn't been given.  But the ref had done alright to be fair."

"We just needed a higher tempo or a bit of magic from someone.  It's a clean sheet and we just needed to put the ball into the net to win the game but unfortunately we didn't get that today."

"The lads know what's at stake but sometimes it's not your day. We defended when we had to, and if we'd just upped the tempo ten per cent I think we'd have won."

"Who's to say what's going to happen?  We've got to play Leeds and we've got to play Scunthorpe.  We can't do anything about what has gone, and we've still got time. Our home form is good and our away form is getting better. We've just got to be positive and bright."

"Our season rests on that game against Bristol Rovers. They're a good side, but our home form is good and if we play like we can then we can win it. At £5.00 a head hopefully we'll have a big crowd."
