Regular Season Over for Defender Goodison

After his sending off in the 2-1 home win over Hereford United yesterday afternoon, Ian Goodison's season has come to a premature end unless Rovers manage to reach the play-offs in May after being hit with a four match ban.
A moment of madness from Jamaican defender Ian Goodison has cast a serious cloud over Rovers' chances of reaching the play-offs at the end of the season after he was hit with a four game ban for his second red card of the season during the 2-1 home win over Hereford United yesterday.
Whilst Tranmere still sit in that all important sixth place following the win over the Bulls, a trip to Leeds United next Saturday suddenly looks a lot more of a mountain given Rovers' recent record results when missing Ian Goodison at the heart of the defence.
At the time of his dismissal, Goodison was celebrating the signing of a new two-year deal that would keep him at the Club until 2011.
Goodison is Suspended for Four Matches
Should they make the play-offs at the end of the season, Goodison will miss first leg but will return for the second leg which at the moment is most likely to be away from home.
The Club have confirmed that they will not be appealing against the decision.
