Why aren't there any games against premier league teams, these games against lower league opposition are good but they don't draw the crowds or test the players against a higher level of opposition.

Although Preston are a higher level team, with all due respect to them they are hardly a crowd pulling team to be fair!

re vauxhalls having got a good friendly v blackburn almost sure the blackburn team will be the youth team. no way will it be the first team.

But Blackburn are a big team to Vauxhall so will pull a few extra people in, and probably quite a few Blackburn fans!

The problem with Vauxhall is their ground is located in the middle of no where so they'll always struggle to attract more fans!

I love pre-season and don't really care who we play in it.

It's the League that counts!!

For one thing, playing Premiership teams in pre-season can be bad - just ask Dave Watson!

yea but he was@#$%&anyway and that proberly doesnt happen that much getting sacked in pre season. the club is complaing about losing money to me playing shrewsbury is a waste because by the time the club pays every body wages players stewards bar staff it allot of money and doubt it will be a big gate i.e like liverpool game last year

The liverpool match was rubbish im not going to another one! It really annoyed me that people where more intrested in steven gerrard warming up than the actual game itself
