Support the Superwhites in Masters Final

In three weeks time Tranmere will once again take part in the Screwfix Masters Football Grand Final and the organisers are trying to ensure that as the home team in the final, Rovers have the very best support from their fans in order to create the sort of atmosphere seen last season at the Birmingham NEC final. Here we bring a quick preview of the final and a timetable of events for the night.

As most Rovers fans will be aware, Sunday 6th September sees the Final of the Screwfix Masters Football take place at Liverpool's Echo Arena and with Tranmere once again making it to the showpiece event and this year being the home team, we at Total Tranmere have been contacted by the organisers of the event to try and publicise it and to encourage Rovers fans to get down to the Echo Arena to cheer Rovers on.
The event will be contested this season by the eight regional heat winners which include three teams who made last year's final which are Leicester City, defending Champions Wolves and of course our very own Tranmere Rovers. As well as the team of former Rovers players there are also a couple of other ex-Rovers players playing for other teams in the final in the shape of Gavin Ward (Leicester City) and Andy Thompson (Wolves).
The first match of the Final, which as with last year is a straight knockout unlike the heat stages, kicks off at 7.00pm but there are a number of pre-tournament events taking place with the full timetable for events on Sunday 6th September being as follows.....
4:30pm - Doors Open
4:45pm - Liverpool Unites Match (featuring legends/celebrity teams from Liverpool and Everton)
5:50pm - Screwfix Look-a-like Game
7.00pm - Screwfix Masters Grand Final 2009 - Match Order as follows...
Game 1: Leicester v Wolves
Game 2: Middlesbrough v QPR
Game 3: Celtic v TRANMERE
Game 4: Barnsley v Bolton
Game 5: Winner of Game 1 v Winner of Game 3
Game 6: Winner of Game 2 v Winner of Game 4
Game 7: FINAL

Tranmere's Mersey Masters Winning Squad of 2009
A tough start then for Rovers against the past legends of Celtic and should they progress, a semi-final against either Leicester or reigning Champions Wolves will await.
Last season Rovers reached the semi-final stage after beating Scottish opposition in the first round in Rangers before losing on penalties to Manchester City in the next round thanks in part to Manchester City goalkeeper and former Rover Eric Nixon.
