Throughout the season we will provide you with a platform to discuss each and every Rovers match whether it be the build-up to kick-off or post match analysis so here we bring you the Match Discussion thread for Tuesday nights 2nd round Carling Cup match against rivals Bolton. Use this thread to discuss anything to do with the Rovers game or any other Carling Cup scores during the match.

Tranmere R Vs Bolton
Kick-Off 7.45pm at Prenton Park
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.Tranmere host Bolton in the second round of the Carling Cup this evening, so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in the Carling Cup as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

However we failed to really create many chances until the last 5 minutes or so which was rather disappointing.
The build up when we have the ball was too slow tonight and too easy to defend against.
Overall not a bad performance and we did battle to the end but if we had passed the ball with more urgency we may have taken the game to extra time.
Can't have too many complaints about tonight. I thought Gornell did well and agree that Edds had a great game. I think tonight we passed it across the backline at times when we should've been going forward more and this occassionally put us under needless pressure.
I think Bolton looked distinctly average for a Premiership team and I think they'll struggle this year.
Sometimes a cup run can be like a poisoned chalice, and we can concentrate on the league now, which is the most important thing for us. We've got a tough game coming up on Saturday.
Maybe Logan is not permitted to play in cup games? Not sure though.
Ricketts looked better than he did on Saturday and held the ball up well at times, but I think he's still a way off being 100% fit.
