Tranmere v Leyton O

Kick-Off 3.00pm at Prenton Park

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.

Stadium Tranmere (Day)

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Tranmere of course host Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon in the first round of this season's FA Cup competition, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in the FA Cup as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

I have a feeling we can do this tomorrow (just) so I'm going for a 2-1 win.

Interesting - I've just gone for exactly the same score!
We're ever the optimists....... keep shouting for the lads.
I still think it was a shame we didn't score in first 30 mins of domination last week. Early goal, confidence raised is my hope for today

gutted no Fraughn, or ITM, and not impressed with Goodison (looking at last weeks goals could blame him for 3) he's no captain, Mahon and Shuker to start ! pleased Rickets gets another chance, still think he's worth 45 minutes

Thought a draw was the fair result but the worst result for the fans with a replay a week on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Yet another switch off for their goal and a somewhat fortunate (but deserved) equaliser for Shuker seems to be the story all round at the moment but we're in the hat so I guess we can't complain.

Man of the Match was Curran for me who had a great game with credit also going to Shuker and an improved Alan Mahon.

performance wise upto our goal I thought we played some superb football opening them up pinning them in the own half and with some better finishing or their keep not pulling off 2 great saves could have been well ahead.

Switched off for their goal no doubt, one of their few chances though.

Dissapointed with response after we scored dropped off a bit but maybe after what the lads had put in to get the equaliser bit of tiredness setting in.

Players wise I thought shuker was very impressive bar missed chances, alan mahon ran the midfield and looked like creating something every time he had the ball (dropped off 2nd half lacking match fitness?) Goodison was superb clearing off the line late on and formed a good looking partnership with ash taylor who i thought did well also. Curran as usual worked and won some good headers BUT is he going to contribute enough in terms of goals/assists? Would like to see ITM in his role. Full credit to ricketts better performance. Can't really pick out a weak link although Welsh continues to give the ball away to easily and in poor areas causing us to be under pressure, that said also a better performance.

On the whole not the perfect result another day we could have had the penalty and take the chances and won 4-1. BUT we're in the draw and if performances continue like that we should start to rise up the league.

Much better performance again and deserved to beat a poor side.

Daniels did well, gathered in all the crosses but his kick at the end was woeful - saying that his kicking in general was far superior to Martin's last Saturday.

Defence seemed much more composed than last week. I think it's probably due to Ash playing there, everyone else looked more comfortable - he brings pace to the defence which both Goodison and Broomes lacked. Thought Goody was much improved from last week, although everyone was!

Welsh's passing was woeful but he didn't seem to go missing as much as usual, but he seriously need's to work on playing the ball to a man in a white shirt, and preferabley to there feet! Edds was no were near as good as he has been and since he's been playing reguarly I think that was his poorest game. Thought it was possibly Mahons best game since he re-signed too!

Ricketts touch is absolutely immense but he's just so lazy, he doesn't close down or pressurise their back 4, and he probably should of came off after 70 mins! Curran was excellent again, he causes problems when he runs at people and he got behind them a few times today, hence Chorley's booking! Shuker looked as if he was going back to the Shuker we want to see perform every week, he also started running at defenders and although he should of had a hat-trick, to see him get into those positions was a positive step!

Gutted we never won as we really deserved it, would of been a good confidence boost and it's hardly ideal to play them away twice in 4 days!
