Norwich City Vs. Tranmere Rovers Match Discussion Thread
By Mikey November 13 2009
Throughout the season we will provide you with a platform to discuss each and every Rovers match whether it be the build-up to kick-off or post match analysis so here we bring you the Match Discussion Thread for Saturday afternoon's game away to Norwich City as Rovers' return to Coca Cola League One action...
Norwich V Tranmere
Kick-Off 3.00pm at Carrow Road
For
those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season,
particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away
games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread
on the Site for every Rovers game.
The
thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up
and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match
anaylsis.
Where
possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and
substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere
of course make the long trip to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon returning to action in Coca Cola League One, so if you're not going to the game
why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe
if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can
post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You
could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been
along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

well Ash didn't play the other noght so I'm hoping that he'll be drafted in for some height and mobility at the back, the lad thinks well and I'd even give him the Arm band
Made up Fraughny gets a start, I'm sure he'll impress, and Ash will add strength, surprised ITM doesn't start, and he didn't play at Lairds, may see him come on and may be Terry too who had a good game at Lairds
Sounds like we played well but its the same old problem of not scoring goals. I have seen the penalty and it never was but the big clubs always get those decisions.
Surely we HAVE to get in a manager before Orient. Its a massive game and if we lose they extend their lead over us to 7 points. A brighton win tomoroow also means wer are starting to become cast adrift.
Haven't seen the decision since but to be fair to the referee it looked a pen at the time although we were at the other end.
As for the game we had the best four chances of the first half including a three on one break from halfway where we tried to pass it into the goal.
Despite us having the best chances though Norwich looked more likely to take theirs.
Second half we didn't look as good and were hit by the penalty. As we pushed for a leveller they hit us again and could have scored twice in injury time as we crumbled.
Man of the Match was Shuker just ahead of Bakayogo and Fraughan whilst Broomes was excellent at right back.
Michael Ricketts was tired after five minutes and should not be starting when Moore and Gornell are on the bench.
Our best away performance of the season and yet we lose 2 0 which continues to back up my theory that were doomed unfortunately.
The fact it was only 2-0 shows we exceeded expecations for this game anyway, the predictions above are all 4, 5, 6, 7-0!
I think we are slowly but surely improving but we have to start scoring. I'm hardly worried by todays defeat though, our away form never has been great and Norwich will be in the top 4 come May!
Would of been nice to get a point though and sounds as if we may of deserved something - and perhaps could of got it had we not been cheated.
