If Rovers can overcome Aldershot in the FA Cup second round replay in ten days time, this afternoon’s third round draw at Wembley has ensured that their reward will be a home tie against Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the competition in the first game of 2010.
Following yesterday's 0-0 home draw against League Two side Aldershot Town in the second round of the FA Cup which ensured a replay in ten days time in Hampshire, Rovers at least found themselves in this afternoon's third round draw which handed Rovers or the Shots a home tie with Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the first game of 2010.
The replay of the second round game between Aldershot and Tranmere will take place on Tuesday 8th November at 7.45pm whilst the third round game should Rovers progress is home League One game against Leeds United scheduled for Saturday 2nd will be postponed .
Total Tranmere will bring you details of ticket and travel news for the replay as we get it during this week.

IF (and it's a massive if) we get through, then at least it's a home tie against a team who aren't doing to well in the Premier League, chance of an upset perhaps?! Anything can happen in the FA Cup, Tranmere fans of all fans should know about that....
if we do win the replay and it is a big if then i think we should give them the kop, they would certainly bring a good following and the extra revenue would be a help 4 us.
Well you can generate more noise from the 'Sheds! We could close of the first say 10/15 Rows of the Kop and give them the rest, at least they might feel distances from the team.
I am happy with the draw but first we must win the replay at Aldershot. Yesterday was their 5th clean sheet in 6 games. It will be a tough game back at their ground but Wolves at home in the 3rd round is an excellent incentive.
What are the actual chances of it happening?
It was mentioned apparently in the meeting between Cowsheds guys and PJ (the idea of giving us the cowshed, obviously not this game in particular) but what are the actual chances of it happening?
I'd much rather, we gave them the main stand and stick all you Main stand cogers in the lower kop (just joking about the cogers) and have a designated singing stand as the cowshed!
Probably very impractical but we all have theories!
never agreed with the idea at all ! for plenty of reasons, and Money ? well, lets look to not giving the oposition the ground, to getting behind the lads and progressing to the next round to earn the money !
Couldn't give 'em the main stand, where all the executive areas are etc. Give them cowsheds and half JK or the Kop, just section the bottom like 15 rows off.
Yeah they did try to get Cowsheds BUT that was only mentioned just a short while before the game, if we won the reply next week we'd have a month to sort out whatever we chose.
Ive said before now that we should be in the cowshed with only a small secton of the kop open for away fans, just to save cash on cleaning and staff for the bars/food stalls.
