Away Trip to Gillingham Arranged for February

After it's postponement last weekend, Tranmere's Coca-Cola League One away fixture with Gillingham has been swiftly rearranged for early February, therefore completing Rovers' fixture list once again following three recent postponements.......

Tranmere Rovers and Gillingham have today announced that the postponed match between the two clubs has been rearranged for Tuesday 9th February, with the game set to kick off at 7.45pm.

The League One fixture was originally set to take place last Saturday, but like the rest of the country, Kent suffered heavy snow and icy conditions, leading to the game being postponed on the Thursday.

This latest re=arrangement now means that all three of Tranmere's postponed fixtures this season - the other two matches against Oldham Athletic and Leeds United - have been rescheduled, though there is every chance that more fixtures will be lost to the weather in the coming weeks.

With the game set to take place on a Tuesday night, the omens are already looking bad for Rovers, as the last time they travelled to Gillingham on a Tuesday night was in the 2000/01 season.  Rovers lost the match 2-1 and were relegated from Division One that year.
