Tranmere Rovers fans will once again be watching Soccer Saturday this weekend, after their home game against Yeovil Town was postponed on Friday morning after heavy overnight rain left the Prenton Park pitch waterlogged and left the referee with no choice but to postpone the game......
Tranmere's Coca Cola League One fixture with Yeovil Town, scheduled to take place on Saturday 16th January has today been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Heavy rain fell on the Prenton Park pitch on Friday, leaving huge puddles on the pitch and with heavy rain forecast for tonight, the pitch has been deemed unplayable by referee Mr. Salisbury.
The match was originally set to take place tonight, Friday 15th January, but due to the recent cold conditions, leaving large amounts of snow and ice on the Prenton Park playing surface, officials from both Tranmere and Yeovil decided to move the game to the Saturday to give the match more chance of going ahead.

However, for the third time this season, the weather has had it's say on Tranmere's fixture list, and like recent matches against Oldham and Gillingham, the game has been postponed.
Tranmere's next fixture will now be Rovers' League One away match with Oldham on Wednesday night, although the weather again could have it's say on this match.
The Tranmere vs. Yeovil home match is yet to be rearranged but we will bring you news of the new date when it's announced.

They haven't played since 15th December with their last League Game being on 5th December.
They now have 14 weeks of the season left and 28 games to fit in! What a nightmare!
