Versatile Edds was signed by Rovers in 2008 by Ronnie Moore, and has played almost everywhere in defence and midfield.

The Australian was a Nottingham Forest trainee and had spells at Swindon and Bradford before settling in Milton Keynes, where he spent four seasons with the Dons.

He was a regular there for three seasons before his last was plagued with injuries and he was subsequently released and snapped up by Rovers. In 2008/09 he made 38 appearances many from the bench and scored two goals against Carlisle and Stockport.
