Tranmere Rovers' League One clash with Brentford on Saturday 27th February is subject to a pitch inspection following heavy rain over London over the past week.
Griffin Park has been hit particularly badly, with the Brentford Official site stating that as of Friday lunch time, the pitch was very soft and wet in patches, resulting in the club calling a pitch inspection for 8.30am on Saturday morning.
Though Brentford will put all their efforts into making the pitch playable for Saturday's fixture, the forecast does not look good for the Brentford area over the next 24-hours, with heavy rain looking set to hit the capital on Saturday, the the forecast for the rest of Friday is cloudy with sunny intervals.
Brentford are especially keen for this fixture to ahead, as their away fixture at Colchester on Tuesday in Coca Cola League One was postponed due to a frost bitten pitch.

The difference being no precautions at all were took at Colchester this year whereas if it doesn't get called of till 1pm tomorrow, they thought that their was a good chance the pitch would be playable come 3pm.
Lol he was right. Further Inspection at 12 which puts you boys half way down there! I think it'll be on but ur possibly facing worst case scenario here
Turned out to be a decent day in the end. First half of the Northampton game was poor but we sat in the Cheltenham end and saw three goals in the end!!
The way the whole situation was abysmal. We were on the train nearly in London when we heard the news, but the fact that it was sunny and windy suggested the pitch could well have dried out with the help of the sopper. They knew more rain was due though and they knew that such rain could put the match in doubt, so why didn't they just call it off at 8.30? Otherwise, with most fans on their way, they should have just waited until 2.00 and seen what the groundsman could do, then have made a decision. Not impressed.
