Parry Ponders: "We're Disappointed We Didn't Win"

Les Parry was happy to settle for a point as Rovers put in arguably one of their worst performances of the season and certainly the worst at home against an equally poor Hartlepool United side with a result that won't help either team in their bids to avoid relegation from League One.
Tranmere Manager Les Parry was happy to settle for a 0-0 draw and subsequent point earned by his team away at home to Hartlepool United on Friday evening but admitted his side had played poorly.
Speaking to Tranmere Player after the game, Parry said.......
"We kept a clean sheet and took a point, but that's about it for positives. I thought the game was very poor. We had a couple of half decent chances in the first half, but in the second half they started better and we probably finished better."
"I appreciate the fans weren't too happy at the end but we are where we are. It looked like a game between two sides that were frightened to lose."
"At half time we said we thought we didn't do too well in the first half. I said I was happy with that because I knew every one of them could go out and play better in the second half and that if we did that we would comfortably win. Unfortunately we didn't."
"We're disappointed we didn't win, only because our expectations before the game were that we might win. On the performance I think a draw was a fair result."
Speaking about the presentation before the game of £12,000 from the Tranmere and Wirral Football Supporters Trust through the Les Aid campaign, Parry added......
"We've still got to address the left back situation but we've got a couple of bob to do that. We have been looking at strikers and have a list of about 30 or 40 of them. We've trawled through them today to be told most of the time that they're not available. It is difficult to get a striker but we'll keep on working."
Les also confirmed that Ian Thomas-Moore missed the match due to a knee injury, would have a scan on it on Saturday morning and would have an injection in it if required.

Absolutely gutted about yesterdays result, we now have to win at Brighton as I expect nothing against Norwich and Swindon.

What a ridiculous statement.
He's the manager, the physio and has various other roles as well. He has managed to identify 30 to 40 targets that he feels are realistic and can do something for us, therefore he has a list of ideal strikers.
If none are available then is it his fault? What do you want him to do? Waste the money on someone who is no better than what we've got? We don't have money to waste.
He can only make a list of players he feels are suitable, if all their respective clubs say no, there's little he can do is their.
Where are they ?
They need someone to support them and provide openings.
