Tranmere's on-loan full back Shay Logan is reportedly set to miss the rest of the season through injury after an assessment yesterday pinpointed a Hernia injury which requires an operation, meaning the on-loan Manchester City defender may have played his last game for the Club.....
Tranmere Rovers well delt a big blow today as they aim to beat the drop from League One this season, as they recieved the news that full-back Shay Logan will miss the remainder of the season following a hernia operation.
The 21-year old joined Tranmere in the summer on a season long loan deal from Premier League side Manchester City, and has been a key player for Rovers this season, making 36 first team appearances.
However, it appears that the right-back has played his final game for the club after news broke today that he was to under go an operation following a hernia problem.
Luke O'Neill, from Leicester City, had filled in at right-back in recent weeks whilst Logan was supsended, but he has now returned to his parent club, meaning most likely Gareth Edds will slot in at right-back for Les Parry's side.
Parry though is expected to make further moves into the transfer market today, as he targets and left-back and a striker before the loan window closes this afternoon.

big loss I think, and again strange selection for the reserves the other night ! tho I think G E will fill in ok for us we'll miss Shay's flair down the line
Edds may not give us the attacking side that Logan does but I think defensively he is more than capable of standing in.
When the news broke I was disappointed but after today's signings and knowing that Edds may well not get a game in midfield anyway I'm not too disappointed.
All the best to Shay though I hope he's back before the end of the season even if it seems unlikely.
Les has said he could only be out for a month so may be back before the seasons over, but I can't see it myself, as he won't be match fit when he gets back
i agree shay will be a big miss! that young lad from leister was looking good for the short time we had him. Both ash and shay are a good shout for young player but i think ash also deserves most improved as his confidence has grown, he looked a bit lacking when he was playin at centre back, jumping under headers but since hes been having a go just in front of the defence hes been brilliant and hes coming along very nicely!!
I said before i didnt see the point in signing a left back on loan for 1 game, it was just a waste of a wage even more so when we found out that our only 1st team right back would miss a month.
