Rovers Sign Leeds United's Robinson

Tranmere Rovers have today made a huge signing in their bid to beat relegation from League One with former player Andy Robinson joining from Leeds United until the end of the season after much recent speculation on the subject this week.......

Tranmere Rovers have today announced the signing of Leeds United winger Andy Robinson on loan until the the end of the season.
Robinson has been out of favour at Elland Road, having not played a game since November and having played just nine times all season.
The 30-year old re-joins the club he supported as a boy after an unsucessful stint with Rovers back in the early 2000's, when he made just one appearance before joining Swansea City.
He ignited his career with the Jacks, and seven years, 276 appearances and 61 goals down the line, the winger, who can also play as a striker or a central midfielder, has re-joined his hometown club.

Robinson's signing has been attributed to the Les Aid fund by manager Les Parry, who was given in excess of £10,000 by supporters after a fundraising scheme headed by the supporters trust.
Parry thanked the fans after completing the signing, telling the clubs official website that it was they who had enabled him to sign such a high quality player.
The Rovers boss also stated....
"Andy is a classy player who has great vision, can score goals and create chances for others."
"His ability at set plays will add to what we've already got at the club and I'm really pleased to have him in the squad".
Robinson goes straight into Tranmere's squad to face Brighton on Saturday, joining yesterday's signing Joss Labadie as a new face in the Rovers team.
Manager Les Parry is also still hopeful of signing a new left-back on loan before the deadline for signing players on loan passes later today.

Robinson is a huge signing and the reaction of Leeds fans to this says it all.
There seems to be a lot of disbelief/unhappiness that they've let him go out at what is also a crucial time for them as well as us.
Thanks to must really go to the TWFST for this too. I know some fans were quite sceptical about the idea but it looks at the moment to have been well worth it.
