Rovers Hope for Flash Gordon

Tranmere Rovers have today completed their third loan signing in less than 24 hours as they welcome an arrival from Premier League side Chelsea who follows earlier signing Andy Robinson to Prenton Park today............

In what has been one of their busiest weeks in the transfer market for quite some time, Tranmere Rovers have today completed their third loan in less than 24 hours.

Following the arrivals of Joss Labadie from West Brom yesterday, and Andy Robinson from Leeds earlier, Rovers have today sealed Chelsea left-back Ben Gordon on a one-month loan deal.

Former Leeds trainee Gordon arrives ahead of Saturday's trip to Brighton in Coca-Cola League one in order to provide cover for Zoumana Bakayogo and Aaron Cresswell, who are both suspsended for the long journey south.

The 19-year old is a former England U-17 international who Tranmere manager Les Parry has described as "a talented defender who has a lot of potential".

As mentioned above, Gordon will slot straight into Tranmere's squad for Saturday's game at Brighton, along with new signings Robinson and Labadie.

Dave Watson, Brian Little, John Barnes,ex-footballers who had a shot at management at the expense of the fans aspirations for their club. Ronnie Moore, who did remarkably well with no money and an average squad, and now Les Parry doing two jobs for one wage packet (no other managers run on with the magic sponge) and to complete the cast of this drama there is Peter Johnston who (due to poor attendances apparently) let us part company with a half decent manager.Rotherham his current charge sit atop their division and with a home gate of just over 2000 this week... I wonder if the directors of Rotherham will part company with him due to low attendances? The booing at our matches needs re-directing I suggest.

I assume you don't mean Rotherham are literally top of their Division because they aren't.

What does all this have to do with the signing of Gordon just out of interest lol?
